Skye Parker Impresses in the 2025 FIA World Championships in Kristianstad, Sweden
Skye Parker delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 FIA World Karting Championships in Kristianstad, showcasing strong pace and determination throughout a challenging weekend. Despite mechanical issues and penalties outside of her control, she ended her final international race of the year with her head held high.
Building on confidence gained at the Champions of the Future event the week prior, Skye started the World Championship weekend strongly. She recorded consistent top-five times during practice — including a standout session where she topped the charts in P1.
Skye carried that momentum into qualifying, securing 10th in her group and placing 28th overall out of the world’s best 105 drivers. She was also the highest-qualified female driver in the field. Notably, her time would have placed her 2nd had she been in another group, underlining her speed and potential.
Her qualifying result set her up with three P10 and two P9 starting positions across the five heats. The heats brought mixed fortunes — but Skye’s grit, resilience, and race craft never faltered. Two mechanical DNFs in Heat 1 (engine seizure) and Heat 5 (chain snap) — both completely out of her control — significantly affected her classification.
Among the highlights was a strong 5th-place finish on track before a front fairing penalty dropped her back, along with another top-ten drive showcasing her race pace. In one heat she battled a significant tyre disadvantage, racing smartly to minimise damage and secure P14. By the end of the heats, Skye placed 61st in the Intermediate Classification, heavily influenced by the two mechanical failures.
With everything to gain, Skye attacked the wet Super Heat with determination, slicing her way forward to the edge of the top 20 before being taken out by another driver. She ultimately crossed the line in P28 — a result that didn’t fully reflect her speed or effort across the weekend.
Competing among the world’s best, Skye and her team were proud of her pace, attitude, and perseverance, even if the final results didn’t match the performance she delivered on track.
Skye extends her thanks to All Road Management, Richard Mille, Birel ART, More Than Equal, and everyone who supported her throughout the weekend.
